Frequently Asked Questions

What genre do you write?

I write both contemporary fantasy rom-coms (the Glimmer Falls series) and fantasy with romantic subplots (the Shards of Magic series). Both series are frequently described as romantasy, but they differ in that Glimmer Falls is romance set in a fantasy world and the Shards of Magic is fantasy with a romantic subplot. Glimmer Falls is funny, the Shards of Magic is serious, and both contain explicit adult content.

How many books will be in the Shards of Magic series?

Three! SERVANT OF EARTH, PRINCESS OF BLOOD, and WARRIOR OF THE SHARDS.

When does WARRIOR OF THE SHARDS come out?

December 8, 2026.

How many books are in the Glimmer Falls series?

Three! A WITCH’S GUIDE TO FAKE DATING A DEMON, A DEMON’S GUIDE TO WOOING A WITCH, and A WEREWOLF’S GUIDE TO SEDUCING A VAMPIRE.

What order should the Glimmer Falls books be read in?

They are interconnected standalones, so you can read them in any order, though you will get a few spoilers from previous books. If you want to read in order, you should start with A WITCH’S GUIDE TO FAKE DATING A DEMON, then move on to A DEMON’S GUIDE TO WOOING A WITCH and A WEREWOLF’S GUIDE TO SEDUCING A VAMPIRE.

Are there any special editions of your books?

Glimmer Falls: FairyLoot did special editions of all three books!

The Shards of Magic: Book in a Box has so far done special editions of SERVANT OF EARTH and PRINCESS OF BLOOD! More special editions are coming, so sign up for my newsletter (see bottom of page) and follow me on Instagram for those updates.

How do I get signed copies of your books?

Order through Village Books (https://www.villagebooks.com/) and be sure to request a signed copy in the order notes!

Where can I find a hardback/paperback version of your books?

Glimmer Falls: This series only published in paperback (except for the FairyLoot special editions).

The Shards of Magic: This series publishes in hardback first, then paperback. That means for the first nine or so months after publication (in the US), hardback is the only format. After the paperback is published, that becomes the dominant format. There will still be hardbacks floating around, but you may need to call stores to see if they stock the hardback versus the paperback.

How do I get an Advance Reader Copy of your books?

Readers/reviewers can sign up for an account on NetGalley, and booksellers and librarians can create an account on Edelweiss! My publisher manages all ARC requests, so I have no influence over approvals.

What are you writing next?

I have two new projects in the works! More info to come, but the first will be a fantasy rom-com in the style of Glimmer Falls and the other will be fantasy with a romantic subplot like the Shards of Magic.

Will you do an event in my city?

I would love to do an event in every city! Bookstores have to request my appearance, so I would recommend reaching out to your local indie bookstore to see if they’re interested. My publicist arranges event appearances and can be reached at kmundellhill@penguinrandomhouse.com. You can also find all my upcoming appearances on the Events page.

Will you blurb/read my book?

I can’t read any unsolicited material. If you are an author and are looking for a blurb, please email my agent, Jessica Watterson (jessica@dijkstraagency.com). My ability to blurb books depends on my deadlines and how many other books I’m currently blurbing, so I unfortunately can’t promise I’ll be able to say yes to every request.
